Nano-fibrils in a fuser member
 
Qi et al of Xerox, Connecticut, developed a fuser member consisting of a substrate and a release layer. The release layer is disposed on the substrate and includes carbon nanotubes. The carbon nanotubes have a hydroxyphenylmaleimide group covalently bonded to an outer surface of the plurality of carbon nanotubes and a fluoroelastomer shell layer covalently bonded to the hydroxyphenylmaleimide. The carbon nanotubes are in dispersed one or more fluoro-materials. (RDC 7/9/2012)
