Although Content Marketing has been around, I think the Internet will breathe new life into this type of Marketing.  In my experience the most frustrating thing about the Internet and websites in particular is how little content there is.  For a serious and legitimate company, good content can add luster and even inspire loyalty.  Good content is one thing but dynamic, growing content can really make a difference.  Developing good content can induce regular visitors.   However, providing growing content is not easy and can become a burden.

Although I am not a marketing expert,  it seems to me the goals of Content Marketing are as follows:

1. Establish regular contact with those in the field who are serious, dynamic people in the area.

2. Establish your company /group reputation as serious, knowledgeable leader in the area.

3. Based on this regular contact, your group will be one of the first the reader will consider when looking for a supplier.

4. Help you and others in your group to keep up with new developments.

Weekly collections of patents on a particular subject can be upgradeable content for the right company, groups or individual.  Maro can provide this content without fuss or muss.

From a patent point of view, area definition is critical. The area needs to broad enough to produce 10 to 100 patent titles per week.  More than this tends to overwhelm readers and fewer makes regular contact less necessary.   Besides a broader view is more effective and interesting.  Medicine at 200 to 400 per week is too much but Orthopedics at ten to 50 per week is much better. 

If one were to develop content marketing with patents, one could start with a topic and see happens.  The content could, then be changed until the optimum number is reached.
