Carbon nanotubes are formed by linking: multiple carbon atoms in which three adjacent carbon atoms form hexagonal ring nuclei.   By spreading and bending a plane with these hexagonal nuclei, a circular cylinder is formed.  Its diameter is on the order of nanometers while its length/diameter ratio ranges from tens to several thousands.  Carbon nanotubes are generally manufactured by electrical arc, laser evaporation, electrochemical gas phase deposition, catalyst synthesis and plasma synthesis.. In these methods, carbon sources are small organic hydrocarbon molecules such as methane, acetylene, ethylene and  carbon monoxide.  Tao, Chen and Meng (1) have also developed a method based on heating a mixture of waste polyethylene, modified ,montmorillonite filler and nickel supported catalyst.  To 650 C and extracting the mixture.
