Slush Molding

Definition #1: “Slush Molding: A molding process used to form a molded plastic object, in which a liquid resin is poured into a hollow, heated mold that is rotated until a viscous skin forms in a specific shape. The excess slush is then drained off, the mold is cooled, and the molded object is extracted.”

Definition #2: “Slush Moulding is a process in which a powder dry-blend (plasticized ) is introduced into a mould which is heated. The temperature and the time are well adjusted to maintain a consistent wall thickness of plastic gelated.  Then the overload of dry-blend is removed from the mould and it is cooled.This process is used for the production of dashboards for the automotive industry.”
