Maro Subscriptions
The mission of Maro Publications is helping professionals keep up in polymer science and technology. Maro does this through links to patents and articles on the internet. These links are classified by topic are kept on the Maro Website on Topic Pages. As a current awareness service they are sent by email to Maro Alerts subscribers. Keeping up should only be a matter of minutes whenever the subscriber has some free time. Solutions to difficult problems and technical breakthroughs come from connection between seemingly unrelated things and not looking at the same old thing. This broad perspective is critical to competitive professional practice.
1. Maro Alerts
Every week about 3000 new patents are published on the US Patent website. These are reviewed and links are made to the polymer related patents. The patent links are sent to the subscriber in email messages, usually a 100 at a time( about 300 new patent links a week). In addition, over 400 journals are reviewed each week, and links made to the new issues and polymer related articles. The journal issue links are sent by email to the subscriber is sets of 30 (50 to 100 new issues a week). The article links are not sent to the subscriber but each week are kept on the website. These article links are available only to website subscribers.
The Maro Alerts subscription is for email messages containing the Patent Links and Journal Issue Links only.
1. $20 per month by credit card only. The payment will be collected before the month and no refunds are given. You may cancel at any time and the cancellation will take effect the next month after receiving notice of cancellation
2. $100 per year. No refunds and the subscription will start as soon as payment is received.

Maro Website

A subscription gives the subscriber unlimited access to everything on the Maro website for the duration of the subscription and will require a login and password. Initially Maro will give the subscriber a login and password. However, the subscriber may request his own login and password at any time.
The website contains the following:
1. US Patent Links: The weekly Patent Links lists are kept on the website by the week for about one month. In addition, the links are kept on Topic pages indefinitely. The Topic pages are accessed through an Alphabetical Index and a Topic Area Outline.
2. Journals and Articles: The most recent issues are listed weekly on the website. The Table of Contents of the most recent issues are also listed. The article titles with links to the journal issues will be listed on Topic Pages like the Patent Links. This is a new feature and the present pages are few and short. They will grow with each week. In addition the article pages will contain short definitions and encyclopedic entries and will include a list of acronyms and a list review articles.
3. Consultants: Résumé's of consultants are on the website and are open to all including nonsubscribers.
4. Properties: ASTM properties of some common plastics are given.
Personal Subscription: $30 per month by credit card only or $200 per year. The subscriber will be given a login and password. Through this the subscriber will have unlimited access to the website and may receive at no extra charge the Maro Alerts. The Alerts information is available on the website if the subscriber does not wish to receive the email messages.
Corporate Subscriptions:
Local; $1000 per year for unlimited access by employees from a single site.
As many logins and passwords as necessary will be assigned to local employees.
In addition, one personal Alerts service is available to one employee without
additional charge. More Personal Alerts services are available to other
employees at $100 per employee.
Global: $2000 per year for unlimited access by employees world wide. As
many logins and passwords as necessary will be assigned to these employees.
In addition, two personal Alerts services are available without additional
charge. Personal Alerts are available to other employees at $100
per employee.
Academic: Academic groups such as a professor and
students or student groups --- $300 per year. Each person will receive their own
login and password and may elect to receive Maro Alerts.
Academic Institutions/ Libraries with unlimited access and unlimited number of
logins and passwords to staff and students --- $500 per year.
Personal Alerts are $100 per year plus the Academic Subscription above.

During the weekly selection, Patent Links and Journal Articles on specific topics are sent to the subscriber by email. In addition, complete Tables of Contents can be sent for specific Journals selected by the subscriber. The Topic may be selected on the basis of the Journal Index or Topic Outline. Both Maro and the subscriber must agree on the Topic and Journal Selections. Maro reserves the right to refuse some topics or selections if delivery requires an unreasonable effort. The selections may change at any time by a email reply to the message. Changes will take effect on the next review.
In general, Maro reviews take place weekly, one message a week. Occasionally, due to vacations and other kinds of breaks, there may be break in the service. In all cases, attempts will be made to catch up. If a week or even a month is missed, the missing weeks of patents will be reviewed as well as articles from published journal issues.
Only website subscribers are eligible for this service and the cost is $100 per year plus the annual Maro website subscription of $200.

Consultant's listing consists of a page for the resume' plus links from a list of topics and links to appropriate Topic Pages.
For the first year the cost is a $200 Maro Website subscription plus $200 and for each succeeding year the Maro Website subscription plus $100.

Any one who have products listed on the internet can have these pages linked to the appropriate Topic Pages and Links to their home pages from a page with list of companies and producers.
Personal or small company with few products: Maro Website
subscription plus $200 per year.
Corporations: Corporate Subscription plus $500 per year. Direct Links on
Maro's home page are the Corporate subscription plus $1000 per year which does
not include Topic Links.
